Shocked Shocked Shocked Gee, I hope he is ok...

I've been reading the Cape York forum but have been unable to find any thread containing updates on their journey.

Just checked out the capeyorker forum and discovered thet Les has broken his fibula above the ankle but is still able to hobble around with a crutch. Apparently he turned the wrong way while fishing on rocks (don't know if there was any alcohol involved) and heard a crack and then it got sore.
Haven't been able to find any news of broken trucks.

I found it under Travel Itineraries. That's why I overlooked it before.
I have forgotten which page it was on, fifty something I think.

Poor Nedelles, what a bugger. Up side is Chris will be getting lots of 4WDriving practice Smile

There are some photos of the group on the link Steve has mentioned. They all look well and happy. There will surely be some tales to tell about their adventure to the tip.

Yea as mentioned Les did break his ankle at pennyfather river trying to catch a fish.

He did manage to keep the fish and he hobbled around for 2days on the ankle before going to the hospital at weipa.

The only drama we all had was Ken had a bent chassis rail, stuffed starter motor and a battery that wasnt capable of running his fridge.

Allan and karen had an alternator chuck teh towel in going into bramwell station so the following day we all pushed back into weipa to get kens and allans car repaired.

Unfortunately we were stuck there for a few days and when allan got his repaired we then pushed onto musgrave station but once again the alternator wasnt charging and tehy left the following morning heading for cooktown where it was to be fixed on monday or tuesday.

Im sure you will here more about the trip at jenowen
